A resident of Capitol Hill for more than 5 years, Dorri brings her southwest experiences & images to Washington, DC. Influenced by the larger than life landscape and vibrant colors of the southwest, Dorri creates large, bright & vivid paintings with a creative perspective. Her paintings have been described as vibrant and alive with abstractions of positive emotion.

While growing up in Phoenix, Arizona, Dorri Woods has been involved in various art projects for more than 10 years. Recently, she decided to bring her southwest experiences & images to Washington, DC. Beginning this year, Dorri has shown, and continues to show her art throughout the DC area at various venues.

Extensive political experience and a passion for politics initially attracted Dorri to the Washington area. She is currently a graduate student studying international security & economic policy at the University of Maryland. Not only has Dorri used her art to bring the southwest home to DC, she has been very fortunate to use her passion for art to help put herself through school.
